Starting this post giving thanks to this snapshot for making me feel extremely magical. The real MVP! It captured exactly how this OOTD made me feel. I'm giving you little off shoulder trend action, mixed with the colors of the year, and lastly the beauty of the outdoors to set it all off. I found the inspiration for this look from one of my favorite bloggers and fashion icons, Aimee Song. She does no wrong when it comes to style. Keep reading to see my attempt and tribute to 'Song Style'! ;)

Zara Lace Up Heeled Shoes (SST) /
When I bought this funky little skirt I wasn't sure what I could do with it, but I loved the asymmetrical look. Its the type of skirt that can go with so much, but not a lot at the same time. Confusing, yes. So worth it though. The fit is ultimate comfort + chic, which of course equals a super win.
The shirt was chosen on a whim. I wanted to wear it, but I wasn't sure what to wear it with...just like the skirt! Obviously they were meant for each other. That's the great thing about clothing. When you don't know what to wear with something, the perfect piece will come along randomly. I live for those moments. This look was birthed from one of those moments.
The off shoulder style complimented the skirt better than I imagined as definitely contributed to the romanticism. Off shoulder blouses and dresses are very much in style these days. That combined with the color...win!
The shoes were an easy choice, but they always are. I didn't want to do a heel because I thought that would be too dressy for the look I was going for. Doing a lace up was perfect. It has a baby heel, so I don't feel super basic and the lace up adds spunk to the whole look. Black pulled the look together, because let's be honest- I have a lot going on color wise.
I've been digging this cross body even more than I expected. The color reminds me of a summer sky, so why not style it every chance I get in the summer? Umm, duh! Plus, if I was actually on a date it could fit everything I need.
Don't I look extra "daytime" romantic?!
And there it is. A romantic, daytime date outfit inspired by Aimee Song.
Peace and romance, beautiful people!
