I have grown to appreciate looks that are simple, but still offer style. This look is the perfect representation of that idea, if I do say so myself. This look is simple, but stylish and perfect for the Spring and Summer seasons. This OOTD x BLT post is going to be just as simple.

Spring time is most definitely the perfect season. It's not too hot, not too cold, and always has the prettiest morning and evenings. Styling in the spring is always an easy task for me, because I usually go by one of the greatest clothing rules- keep it simple! Don't do too much, don't do too little. Just keep it simple.
Exhibit A- the picture below. It captures exactly how I felt in this look; I felt free, I felt cute, and I felt happy. My feet weren't hurting, my pants weren't too tight, and I couldn't even tell I was wearing a shirt. Pure joy!
By now, you should have at least one off the shoulder shirt in your closet. If you don't, run to your nearest "go-to" clothing store and buy one. If your nearest clothing store does not have one, that store no longer needs to be your "go-to" store. Get at least one! They are perfect for when you want to keep it simple, but add flare. The shirt does all the work for you! Who doesn't want a shirt that does everything for you? Get with it! You don't need an intricate pattern or lots of frills on your shirt either. This shirt has slight frill detailing on the sleeves, but not so much that it's over doing it and that the key to an outfit like this- don't over do it!
If you don't have an off shoulder shirt, your favorite tee, tank, or tube top will also get the job done. Don't trip, you will still be cute boo!
Excuse me while I check out my booty in this building window. Kinda hoping no one sees me/ kinda hoping that a fine man inside that building is also checking out my booty. I mean, let's be real... you don't let a good "booty day" go to waste! Just like the shirt does the work for me up top, so do these jeans down below. I am trying to tell yall, if you don't have high waist jeans you need to get some! I have basically no booty, until I put on these jeans and turn into your favorite big booty celebrity. High waist jeans are from God, facts!
See, no-ass-at-all, but still looking good! I chose a dark wash jean with no designs on the pockets (do people still wear those anyway???) or anything that draws attention to a certain place (besides my butt). High waist jeans will forever get the job done for me.
Ok, now lets get into these shoes! I honestly don't know what attracted me to them, besides the style. Mules have been making a serious come back lately, so of course I had to jump on the band wagon. I got these from a Ross Dress for Less near my house and love them! You can't see, because I prefer no close up shots of my crusty feet, but they have silver stones all over the larger part in a circular design. Accentuates the crust so well! And the best thing about this shoe is that it does NOT hurt your feet at all. You almost feel like you're walking flat. My mom tried them on and said the heel didn't bother her and she is one to complete about a .5 inch heel. The shoes adds just a touch of detailing to the entire look, but I love how subtle it is. Still staying with the whole feel of simplicity.
Lastly, let's have a quick chat about my bag. I naturally gravitate towards shoulder bags for some reason, so this bag quickly caught my eye. It's the latest and greatest from the Chanel, by way of BCBG, collection. Sike! It's got a whole lot of BCBG and not an inch of Chanel, but she still cute though! Since I am so obsessed with the Pantone Colors of the Year, I had to have this bag in the color Serenity. The quilted style is also relatively popular, so I felt compelled to add a style like this to my closet. I dig the contrast between the dark washed jeans and the light colored bag. The bag, like the shoes, offers slight detailing to the look with it's gold chains and accents. Once again, not doing too much. Just holding me down on my left and right side.
So there it is! A simple shirt + simple high waist jeans + simple and easy to walk in shoes + a simple shoulder bag + worn during the Spring season = A Simple Spring Look! I am done "talking', so enjoy the following pictures of me looking kinda cute! :)
Peace and serenity, beautiful people!
(Yes, I know they mean basically the same thing)
