OOTD x BLT | Brunch Babe

Another new fad has been sweeping the younger generations...BRUNCH! Yes, breakfast and lunch simultaneously typically on a Sunday afternoon. I've seen playlists dedicated to it, snap stories depicting it, and even attended a few myself. Brunch is lit. Obviously I needed to dedicate an OOTD x BLT to it. Brunch attire can be a out of different styles, so here is only one outfit idea I thought of.

Although this entire look was shot outside, I promise it looks just as good sitting in a chair with a plate full of chicken and waffles in front of you. Don't question it, just trust me. I know chicken, I know waffles, and I know clothes. Keep reading!

It looks like I'm paying with my imaginary friend, but there was a butterfly trying to hang with me cause I looked so cute and welcoming. Lace has that affect. It makes you look warm, feminine, and approachable. If you want to get a butterfly (read: man) to come chill around you, you need to wear lace. This shirt has lace sleeves and detailing on the shoulders, so I'm kinda interested in having a man come near me, but not fully.

Here I am looking all frilly and stuff. Twirling will do that. I don't recommend doing this inside a restaurant while at brunch, but you could get your bestie to snap something real quick for the 'gram. I'm willing to bet a picture like this would get a lot of love!

While you're twirling, you won't have to worry about your skirt flying up and everyone seeing your goodness, because you're not wearing a skirt! Plot twist: you're wearing a skort. Yes that is right, you are eating breakfast and lunch, while wearing a skirt and shorts! *cues Future- Same Damn Time*

I'm a skirt fanatic and have no shame about it. Sometimes you want to be all girly, then change your mind and want to bust a split without feeling hoochie, so you wear a skort. It's perfect for after brunch when you're still hungry, cause you're always still hungry after, and you decide to go get ice cream or more food. Never say no to ice cream, post brunchin'. The following picture is how you walk away from brunchin to go get more food!

Tell me this look doesn't just scream approach me at brunch?! If you say no, you're not looking right! I've got on a little lace to make me feel soft, what seems like a skirt from the front to make me look feminine, and now for the shooooeeeeess! Leave me to chill on this wall because a man should be coming any minute now.

Okay so no man,  but I still have a smile and some ridiculously perfect shoes, for brunch and just about every other activity in life. Lace up sandals are always a go. These have a slight heel, giving just enough leg appeal. I love how they contrast the beige shirt. Black always holds it down. Always.

On snap, did I just see a man? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, at least I know he'll see me looking cute!

Or he'll see me doing something strange like this. Why was I doing this? LOL! Aside from seeing me look plum foolish, you can also get a little glimpse of my bag of choice. A fringe cross body for the dub! The blue teal matched one of the many colors in my skirt (the joy of buying pieces that are multi-colored), so I wore it. No deep decision behind that. Sometimes fashion can be simple.

Alright, it's almost time for me to go, since I am tired of typing and there's not much more to say about this look. If I knew there were people actually reading this I would say leave any feedback or questions about this look below, but I'm not positive so that was my way of saying it, without saying it. That was a long sentence!

A rare close up, because I thought my eye shadow was cute. At the time. Not sure how I feel now. Oh well!

 Peace and brunch, beautiful people!

xo,
BLT
