You ever worn an outfit that you considered to be rather normal, simple, and everyday...but then everyone else seems to just love it? That's what this outfit was for me and I think I can credit the white pants for the unexpected reaction.

This outfit was perfect for those beginning days of Spring when the sun is high, but the temperatures are not. You want to be cute and Springy, but warm and reasonable at the same time. My first thought were my black booties, a light sweater, and my faovrite white pants!
I'm not a follower of the "NO WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY" trend, but to be honest, I rarely do think about wearing my white pants until the Spring time. As soon as the sun is high, my white pants are out! I usually wait until it's a little warmer to wear my white pants because it's just my preference. White pants do wonders for a Spring time outfit. Aside from the pop of color from my purse, these white pants helped to set it all off.
For this outfit, I wanted to keep things simple. I let my relaxed sweater do a little more relaxing and hang off my shoulder. I was still warm. but showing a little skin, which was perfect. This sweater was the perfect weight for wind and sun.
I've had these white pants for quite some time, but they were not always white. They started as an off white hue, but after getting tossed in a few too many white washes, they are my new favorite white cropped pants. They fit tight, but not clingy and uncomfortable. And the longer you wear them, the more they loosen up (not in the bad way).
This outfit wa rather neutral, until I paired it with my favorite Coach bag for color. It's a burnt orange, but still appropriate for the Spring weather. I wasn't expecting it to pair so well with my gray sweater, but gray and orange can be new homies in my future wardrobe choices.
Lastly, were the shoes. I love them, I wear them with everything, and that will never change. These black booties were my go to shoe in the Winter and I don't see that changing for parts of the Spring. If I'm not going to follow the white pants trend, I surely wont be following any shoe trends. Sandals are great in the Spring, but these booties are great all the time!
I wasn't expecting this outfit to be such a hit because of the simplicity of it. Now I realize that simplicity is sometimes all you need to make an outfit great. I had a comfy sweater, worn in a sexier way; I had white pants, fitting just right; I had a pop of color to brighten up the entire look; and lastly I had the greatest black booties to keep it all together. You don't have to "do the most" to get the best results. Trust me!
White pants and peaceful vibes, beautiful people!
