You can't help but to smile when you are wearing pants that are this cute, this comfortable, and this chic! Who would have thought that this style of pant would be my ideal piece of clothing for just about everyday of life? This is definitely not the first appearance of the culotte on my blog, but this is the greatest appreciation for them!
Never in the history of pants have I found a bottom that can be so easily transformed from simple to swank. The culotte can be dressed down, as I did here with a low heeled boot, or dressed up as you will see in a later post!
I paired my cool culottes with a solid short sleeve to keep the attention on the pants, but to also help bring out the various colors of stripes. Because the pants were soooo comfy, I decided that everything else should mesh with that comfort. Nothing was over-the-top about this look, but with a change of the shoes and jacket, this look could easily be much more dashing. That's the beauty of the culotte!
I found this awesome utility jacket online from Forever 21 on sale! It's the perfect lightweight jacket to help me with the transition from Winter cold to Spring cool. You know, for those days when Mother Nature is being a true woman and can't decide how she's feeling? Grab this jacket just in case!
For shoes I chose a neutral, but warm shoe to pull it all together. Of course, black shoes are always an option, but I wanted something that could compliment the warmer tones of shirt and stripes in the pants. Camel is always to the rescue when you want to be toned down, but not washed out. The boots make the look pop, but in a subtle way.
My bag is another one of my matchy-matchy moments, due to it being the same color as a stripe in the pants. I couldn't resist! Plus, who isn't obsessed with all things fringe at the moment? It's as if you have to have something fringe somewhere on your body. Something fringe, something cute, something comfy, and of course the culottes! Ready to GO!
Peace, comfort, and culottes beautiful people!
