After celebrity stalking, flipping through magazines, and a mix of my own personal style obsessions, I have developed my
Top Spring 2014 Trends that you may want to indulge in while doing your shopping!
Floral Prints- Honestly, what better print to wear in the Spring time than floral? Personally, this will never go out of style for me. So fresh, eclectic, and versatile. Nothing like a floral pattern that can be worn day, night, sweet, or grunge!
Pastels and Soft Tones- Does anyone else think about Easter dresses or Easter Sunday when they think of Spring? I do! For as long as I can remember, my Easter dresses have been frilly, pretty, and pastel! That is not going to change now! I am swooning over the monochromatic blush tones and pastels. Gorgeous, simple, light, and airy!
Textures - Textures are IN! They add variety, depth, and dimension to an outfit. A nice texture can break up the monotony of a simple outfit. Beading, lace, mesh, or crochet-check 'em all out and don't be afraid to rock them together! Give that outfit the 3D effect!
Platform Sandals- If you've seen the blog Instagram (which you can check out here!), then you know I have been obsessing over platforms! Yes, they are big, clunky, and somewhat the quite opposite of what you think of when you hear "Spring", but I love that irony! An abrasive shoe in the middle of a soft Spring pasture- genius! LOL!
Eclectic Accessories- Midi rings, bangle sets,pendant necklaces, head pieces, and circular sunnies! All of these pieces can truly complete a look! I have never been a fan of the big, gaudy jewelry with a lot of pieces, jewels, and layers, so the simplisitc jewelry is great for me. The floral head pieces look great on the beach or can be elegant enough for a bride on her wedding day. And the circular sunglasses are just TOO cute; kinda gives you the Johnny Depp in Willy Wonka look or the Elton John type of swag and who doesn't love his style?!
Cross Body/ Satchel Bag- During the Spring you want to be out and about enjoying the weather, going shopping, taking a hike; you know, carpe diem-ing! Why be weighed down with a large tote or hobo bag? A stylish cross body bag or satchel with a long strap will do just fine. Enough room to fit your phone, wallet, a compact camera, or even an iPad!
