Skirts and shorts are usually the last two pieces you think of when you think about your fall wardrobe, but I don't think it has to be that way. There is definitely room for a little leg action in your fall outfits. You didn't do all that work in the summer to tone up your body just to hide it all away under clothing. Sometimes the perfect piece that you are looking for to pair with that awesome sweater (you know the one!) is a cute little mini skirt and boots or heels. This outfit was super last minute and random, but thankfully it worked out. I love putting together pieces in the same color family, but different hues, like the olive green in the crop top and the lime green in the skirt. I kept it super simple with black strappy heels I found at Nordstrom Rack (BEST PLACE EVER!) to keep the look from going overboard. My mom suggested a pair of lime green pumps I have....I politely declined. Mom's do not always know best and it is possible to wear too much of one color. Break up the monotony of a one-color-family outfit by throwing in your favorite neutral tone or a pop of color. The neutral tones in my skirt and the black shoes did just the trick for me!
The only things this outfit is missing is a nice fall jacket, because it was a little chilly, and the perfect shoulder bag to tie it all together. I never mind admitting when an outfit needs a little improvement, especially my own, because luckily I can wear it again and make it even better. Woohoooo! Shout out to all the outfit repeaters out there, you are not alone! I can't wait to wear more "Skirts in the Fall" and make them better each time I do!;)
