Fall is here! This season has quickly become my favorite time of the year, especially when it comes to fashion. The deep-earth tones; layering of your favorite patterns and materials; boots, tights, scarves! I love it all! Being stylish and staying warm quickly becomes a fun challenge, that I will gladly accept.
Some trends about the Fall will always remain the same, like your scarves, riding boots, plaid, and the use of deep and neutral tones; don't ever stop rocking those! But this year there are a few that I have been digging a bit more than usual and are SO necessary for my closet! Check it out:)
Trench/ Wool Coats- I remember when I was about 12 or 13, my mom bought me and my sister trench coats that we were only allowed to wear to church and I hated it; I didn't want to wear it at all! Well, I still have that coat, it still fits, and I am so glad! Trench coats give a simple outfit such a chic and sophisticated appeal that no other jacket can do! Mothers always know best!
Black Booties- Let's just start by accepting you can never have too many pairs of black shoes! Accept it; don't argue; it is what it is! Now that we know this, let's accept how PERFECT black booties are for the fall! These booties are the epitome of versatile. Dress them down with a tee and skinny jeans, dress them up with trousers or joggers, or before it gets too cold, pair them with your favorite summer shorts and a long cardigan!
Trousers- Now that I am a Senior and in the classroom everyday, dressing professional is a requirement. Initially I wasn't feeling it, but this trend has me so excited about getting all dressed up everyday! Trouser pants give you that business look, but for some reason I get a hint of sex appeal from them! Who knows why, but I do, and I love it!
Boyfriend Jeans- You know what I love about boyfriend jeans, besides how comfortable they are? You don't need a boyfriend to own a pair! Ripped or regular, dark or light denim, low or high rise- doesn't matter! They are just so simple and don't be fooled in thinking you need to shell out big bucks for them! Goodwill or your local thrift store most likely has just what you are looking for! Perfect little DIY project for the Fall! Be careful though, if you buy the jeans too big or baggy they may swallow you up and take away from the total look.
Pointy Toe Pumps- Such a necessity for the colder weather! Pumps are the equivalent of the ankle strap heel for the Fall and Winter seasons! Talk about chic! Easily dressed up with trousers, or down with boyfriend jeans (hint hint)! Go for it, get pointy!
Long Cardigans- Cardigans are like the kimono of the Fall. Plus, they are the perfect way to still incorporate some of your favorite summer camis and short sleeve shirts to your Fall wardrobe, without a bulky jacket or being cold! Let's be honest, there is no negative to owing plenty of cardigans, so indulge!
