Ahh, New York Fashion Week has come and gone! And what an amazing, fashion-filled, colorful week it was (or it least it looked like it from all the websites, blogs, and Instagram accounts I stalked for the past week). I swear, one day I will be there in person, but thanks to the beauty of technology, I was definitely there in spirit!
Here I am preparing myself for what I will be wearing this Fall (post coming soon) and the fashion world is already looking into next Spring- this week almost slipped by me! Nevertheless, I did not miss a beat! The lines, the patterns, the colors, the music; everything was so amazing to see! To see a designers ideas come to life on a runway is so fascinating to me and these specific designers were just amazing.
Here are my Top 10 Favs from the shows, in order of the day they were presented! Enjoy ♥
1. BCBG MAXAZARIA
Nothing says Spring like pastels and this line had plenty of that! That is exactly what drew me to this line: it felt like Spring! Soft tones, floral patterns, side bows, just so feminine and sleek. Nothing too form fitting, flowing pieces, and subtly sexy. Honestly, it is the perfect Spring/Summer line!

2. Stella Nolasco
I was drawn to this line because of the geometric patterns, attention to detail, and the beading. There were a lot of blue tones and metallic fabric. I loved how the pieces shined on the runway!
3. Mara Hoffman
I can't describe this line, but I think that's why I love it so much! I know that the colors, the cut of the clothes, and the random patterns draw me in, like in a hypnotic way. It may be strange that clothes can be hypnotic, but that is the only way I can think to describe. You just like what you like, and I love these pieces!
4. Lela Rose
Such a sophisticated line, developed for the regal woman. Puts me in the mind of something you would see on the First Lady or Oprah. The hairstyles were mod with a 50's woman feel to it! I love this and I am totally inspired to be the type of woman who wears these clothes.
5. Taoray Wang
One word: simplicity! Clean lines, minimal patterns, and minimal details done extremely well! I appreciate how effortless these pieces look and imagine how hard it must be to make a line look so good without any extra "fluff". The clothing has all your attention and holds it with each and every model.
6. Francesca Liberatore
Now this line is the complete opposite of Wang's; very busy, lots of different places to look, and such intricate pieces. My main attraction to the line was definitely the shoes. I loved the thigh high sandals; they accentuated the maxi dresses and skirts with the thigh high slits so well. Plus, this line had a material you don't typically associate with Spring and Summer: velveteen! So outside of the box, but pretty darn brilliant!

7. Badgley Mischka
Another sophisticated line, with attention to detailing, and soft tones. I loved the mixture of mid length and maxi skirts, the smooth lines of the pieces, and that backpack. That backpack was my favorite piece, hands down.

8. Pamella Roland
This line had a lot of gowns, which were stunning! I loved the pleated pants, blush tones, and red carpet all the pieces looked. I could see any of these pieces at an awards show looking flawless!
9. Anna Sui
This line is so full of personality and versatility in the patterns. All the pieces have their own feel and identity, and I really like that. Whoever wears these pieces is saying "I am an individual and I am proud." These are attention grabbing pieces and can't be worn by just anyone. Plus, I LOVE the boho, celestial vibe of the patterns. I am always for boho!
10. Dorin Negrau
This show was unique; all the models had multiple red lines drawn across their lips and some wore a material reminiscent of a spider web down the runway. The words that came to my mind were "gothic boho" (told you I am always for boho) and a mixture of modernized Victorian vibes, so I was intrigued! I especially love those burgundy leather hot pants.
So there it is! If you missed out on any shows or want to view the other lines, check out these two websites! They have been my go-to's for all things Fashion Week!
Enjoy the next stop on the Fashion Week Double Decker in London!
